Along on the Wind -- 風沿い

How strange the trees seem to grow,
I remember how, not now but before,
Rhythm of growth, death, and slumber,
So natural and regular, I had come to ignore.

The leaves now grow in odd season,
And even die under sun bright and merry.
They come and go in irregular fashion,
As if orders along on the wind came carried.


なんて木が変に成長してる。
陽を覚えてて、今じゃなくて前で、
生長と死と眠りの拍子は、
同然で規則的で、不問に付してきた。

今葉は珍な季節に生長してて、
輝いて陽気な陽の下でも死んでる。
指令が風沿い掲げてきたように、
不規律な流儀で掲載したり消えたりする。

Hiding Deep Inside -- 深く内に匿うこと

Run and hide.

One Miniute More -- もう一分

A flower has sprouted through the floor,
From time to time, it opens in bloom.
A bud that light searches to find,
Reflecting it's beauty and color on the room.

If I could, shrink myself small,
I surely would climb inside,
And lay in comfort and calm,
There where past and future collide.

Maybe instead,
I should invite it and say,
"Won't you stay one minute more?"
Until it no longer goes to hide away.


花が床の中に芽ぐんだ、
往々にして、開けて咲く。
見つける為に光が探っていて、この蕾が、
美と色を部屋に映す。

私を小さく縮まれたら、
きっと中に上がって、
安楽と和やかに寝かして、
過去と未来が衝突の場所に。

恐らく、その代わりに、
誘って、もう去って隠さない程に、
｢もう一分いて続かないか｣と、
言うべきかも。

Alex Skolnick plays guitar for Testament (a heavy metal band). I was very surprised when I found out that he plays in a jazz band too!
