Affection, Name, Same, & Dear --

In my palm sits still,
The times meant for past,
Captured in my grasp,
So the future the past might outlast.

For certain I remember,
The contents cast into the night.
How curious, the self-enchanting mind.
Here I find the lost clasped tight.

Existing outside of time,
Saving the died I fancy,
Tucked away from which,
Unclenched & free the conciseness sees.

Yet herein deep within,
I see without an eye,
Past my grasp of time,
To that which won't die.

Releasing the clasped & cloaked,
Symbols in strokes of 13 appear.
Each of them holding affection & name.
All of them same & dear.

Threads and Thorn --

Stitch by stitch
Thread by thread
Weaved together
End over end.

Abused through the years
Yet clinging together
Remaining tight and tethered
Worn, wilted, and weathered.

Weary and ragged
Yielding to obvious result
Ripping and tearing
Fraying in self-insult.

Open and exposed
Persisting instead
Reformed and redone
Thread by thread

Slowly rescued and repaired
Died and reborn
Reweaved in glory bright
Piercing nail and thorn.

Powerlessness & Freedom --

In between the stacks,
Four stories high I lay.
Veiled under false light,
Hidden from the bright of midday.

Weary & sleepless thought,
Behind closed eyes under brim,
I realize I stand at the rim,
A passing thought, as if conjured on a whim.

Days like today,
My life of dichotomy,
Powerlessness & freedom,
Soon will become not to be.

Drifting --

Hello Everyone!Sorry for the short absence.

Lately, I have been busy preparing to graduate and haven't had a lot of time.
Lat month, I found a new song that I like. The song is "Drifting" by Karmyn Tyler.

You can read Karmyn Tyler's blog entry about Drifting here.

Here is a link to a clip of the song.

It seems my musical tastes are steadily progressing towards jazz, and I like this style of jazz a lot. The problem is that I don't know any artists like this, so I don't know who I should check out. If you listen to this style of jazz, please make a recommendation.

Is vs. Are -- Is対Are

「Where are my glass?
 Where is my glass?

 why is (are)?」

それゆえ、"Where is my glass?" 一本以上だったら、"Where are my glasses?"

If there is more than one thing, are should be used. Therefore, "where is my glass?" is correct. That is because glass is singular. If there was more than one, you should use "Where are my glasses?." In this case, "glasses" is plural.

For one thing, use "is."
For more than one thing, use "are."

Examples -- 例:

Here are five plates.
Here is one plate.

What are they doing?
What is he doing?

They are going to see a movie.
He is going to see a movie.

Woman's Drink

Bubbles frothy with hops
Tasty, masculine amour
I turn to a feminine fruity concoction,
For alas, there is no more.

Masculinity in jeopardy
turning to such a drink,
beverages sweet and fruity
my balls, they seem to shrink.

A tragedy I have brought unto,
but alas and have no fear,
I've drunk it all down, I am all out,
Completely, Ran out of beer

Running Alongside With The Wind

It's been a while now,
I've been chasing the wind.
I can still see the look you were waring on your face,
Through the door when you walked on in...the room &,

Little did I know,
How much you could change,
The image of my future through the prism of my mind,
And hope for my emptiness you'd exchange.

If you could only had been there to hear,
The funny, funny things that I thought,
The moment that I knew,
A friend wasn't what I sought.

Oh, how sweet it was,
To have you on my mind

And since then,
I've been chasing after the wind.
Oh, day after day,
I was chasing after the wind.

And then one day,
I was suddenly alone.
Trying and trying not to see you behind my eyes.
No matter how hard I tried to forget, I knew we had been postponed, &,

Day after day,
Nowhere was the wind.
How hard I tried to be patient for your return,
But how painful the emptiness was as it crept back in,

And my heart would scream out your name.
Wanting so badly to be restored.
And somehow I knew,
We couldn't forever be stored.

Oh, how hard it was,
Having you on my mind.

And since then,
I was searching for the wind,
Waiting for one day,
For the return of the wind.

And for a while now,
I'm again chasing the wind.
How scared and happy I was when you said,
"I wonder if we could start all over again," &,

These months that we shared,
The times side by side,
To think of you thinking that maybe we could become,
More than could be carried off by the tide of time, &,

No matter how angry I am,
During the times when we collide,
Down underneath,
I still feel love lying inside.

Oh, how sweet it is,
To have me on your mind.

And if it is,
If I finally catch the wind,
How happy I'll be,
Running there alongside the wind.

Along on the Wind --

How strange the trees seem to grow,
I remember how, not now but before,
Rhythm of growth, death, and slumber,
So natural and regular, I had come to ignore.

The leaves now grow in odd season,
And even die under sun bright and merry.
They come and go in irregular fashion,
As if orders along on the wind came carried.

Hiding Deep Inside --

Run and hide.
Bury yourself deep down inside.
In no one confide,
The girl that cries inside,
Can't see me alongside.
Tell me, what do you decide?

How much does it hurt,
When she still dresses like a bride?
How you must beg her to hide,
When your defenses subside,
And I see her smile in your eye.
Tell me, what do you decide?

Do you think the boy of mine,
Way deep down inside,
Has less to fear,
And has fewer scars to hide?
Do you think when he cries,
The tide easily subsides?

Tell me,
What do you decide?

One Miniute More -- もう一分

A flower has sprouted through the floor,
From time to time, it opens in bloom.
A bud that light searches to find,
Reflecting it's beauty and color on the room.

If I could, shrink myself small,
I surely would climb inside,
And lay in comfort and calm,
There where past and future collide.

Maybe instead,
I should invite it and say,
"Won't you stay one minute more?"
Until it no longer goes to hide away.
