Passion -- パッション
I came across this song by Hikaru Utada. I think this version of Passion is very nice. I watched some other videos of her music, and although I didn't find anything else that I liked, I thought this song was pretty exceptional in this live version.
宇多田ひかるによってこの歌を通り合わせました。この「Passion」のヴァージョンはなかなかいいと思う。他の数宇多田さんの音楽のビデオを見ましたが、好きな曲を見つかれなかったのに、このライブの曲は非常に格別だと思った。
One of the things that I liked about it is that the music is not overbearing and it leaves room for me to play my guitar over the song.
好きな一つのことは音楽は強引じゃないことです。こんなに曲とギターを引ける。

The time is in 5/4 i think, and I have been playing in C# Minor. I think C# Minor works pretty well, and I like the sound I am getting. However, I haven't found anything else (other scales) that fits. If anyone has any suggestions on other scales to try, I'd appreciate it because I am a little bored with just playing in the minor scale.

After a few times through the "General Riff," I just try and solo along with the song with a jazz or bluesy feel while trying to match the feeling of the lyrics. I might be able to make a recording, but I don't know how to upload it into blogger. If I find a way, I'll give it a shot.
通常のリッフを数度引く後でジャズかブルースの感じで独演で歌詞の感じに合うようにする。吹き込めるかもしれないけど、ブログにアップロードを仕方を知っていない。できるようになったら、して見ます。

This past August, I attended the Univera national convention in Orlando, Fl. It was two full days of many people talking, and lots of new information. Here are some pictures from the trip.
