Guard Spider -- 番クモ

Today I came home to find a visitor living on my front porch. Here is her picture:
今日帰る時にポーチに住んでる来訪問を見つけた。これがそのクモの写真：









She is a female, and she is big. Her body is about 2cm and from front leg to back leg she is about 7cm. She is called a Black and Yellow Garden Spider or a Corn Spider. Even though she is rather big and looks menacing, she is harmless to humans. She does eat a lot of bugs though, and I think I'll keep her around.


このクモは雌で大きいです。体長は二センチくらいで前足から後足まで七センチくらいです。黒くて黄色のクモとかコーンのクモというんです。かなり大きくて威嚇的な外見なのに、人間に害を及ぼすことがなく、虫は沢山食べますから、このままいてもらおうと思います。
