Univera Atlanta Regional Convention - アトランタにユナヴェラの南部大会

この春休みユナベラのイベントに行くために数日アトランタに運転しました。これはその数日から数写真です。

This past spring break, I drove to Atlanta for a few days to go to the Southeast Univera Regional Conference. Here are a few pictures from those days.

Is vs. Are -- Is対Are

「Where are my glass? 私のグラスはどこですか？
　Where is my glass?　私のグラスはどこですか？

　why is (are)?」


一つ以上なら、areを使うほうがいいです。それゆえ、"Where is my glass?"は正しいです。それは、glassは単一からです。一本以上だったら、"Where are my glasses?"を使うほうがいいです。この場合は"glasses"は複数です。

一つの場合は"is"を使う。
一つ以上の場合は"are"を使う。


If there is more than one thing, are should be used. Therefore, "where is my glass?" is correct. That is because glass is singular. If there was more than one, you should use "Where are my glasses?." In this case, "glasses" is plural.

For one thing, use "is."
For more than one thing, use "are."

Examples -- 例：

Here are five plates. これは皿の五枚です。
Here is one plate. これは皿の一枚です。

What are they doing? 彼らは何をしてるの？
What is he doing? 彼は何をしてるの？

They are going to see a movie. 彼らは映画を見に行きます。
He is going to see a movie. 彼は映画を見に行きます。
